Sculptures: Alabaster dust - Bonded Marble
The large range of products shown in the catalogue is made up of alabaster dust (aka bounded marble) mixed with a resin.
The mixture is then poured into a mold of the statue design. The resin gives the marble powder an added strength and the
finished product bears a near identical resemblance to the original hand carved statue. The texture and features are
duplicated and the color is a consistent ivory white. Because of the characteristics of the resin material, these bonded
marble statues are water proof. The statues consist of approximately 80% marble powder and the remainder being resin. The
weight is also around 80% of the natural marble.
Design, planning and sculpturing are the root of the development of any project. Each idea is examined,
discussed and Market Researched before being put into production. Noted artist and sculptors are researching
and developing their technique of creating a faux marble finish, making it almost impossible to discern from
costly real marble products. These artists have used their creativity to enrich and extend our production.
The rubber moulds are of the gretest importance to the finished article. For this reason we employe the finest
mould makers. Particular attention is taken in cleaning and polishing each article in order to eliminate
any imperfection to the finished product.
To clean the bonded marble statues you can use a solution of soap and water and scrub with a soft bristle brush.
Bleach or industrial grade cleaners are not recommend.
All of our Sculptures are "Made in Greece". There are also manufactories in Italy and China, but we explicit repeat at this point
that all of them are made in Greece, Supporting the origin destination of ancient Greek-Art.
Vases and Plates: Ceramic
Greek vases provide some of the best evidence of Greek artistic skill and interest in mythology.
They were very popular in ancient times and were heavily exported.
We work closely with selected ceramic manufactories to keep the quality of our products. Of course every of our
ceramic Vase or Plate is handcrafted and after about 10 days of drying out they get hand painted.
The painting of the vases must be done very carefully so that the vases is not ruined. Depending on the Periond
it is used an inverse painting or a partially scratching method to get the motive on the vase. Some of our Vases
are identical museum copies. For others a motive from an original Vase is used to be painted on another Vases surface.
Our beautiful Plates are handpainted by talented artists from a choosen familiy company, directed by the Senior and operated by
his children. The motives are beautiful greek landscapesand, ancient greek temples and statues.
